Question: Why was manchester united supporters wearing yellow and green scarfs at sundays cup final?

Manchester United's original colours are yellow and green, but the fans were wearing it to protest against the Glazers.

Green and yellow scarves are anti glazer scarves. green and yellow were the colours of newton heath which is what manchester united used to be called.

Back before 1878 Man United were known as Newton Heath and the colours were Green and Gold. The scarfs symbol a protest against our American owners the Glazers to get rid of them.

Green and gold were the original colours of Newton Heath. They went bankrupt and were saved - but became Manchester United. We are wearing green and gold in protest - we are saying to the Glazers that there is a lot more to us than a cash cow to exploit and winning trophies - we remember our history.
