Question: Does anyone think messi will take argentina to win the worldcup 2010?

Messi may be one of the best players in the world when he plays for Barcelona, but that is certainly not the case when he plays for Argentina. He only plays hard when he is getting paid enough so he doesn´t even bother to play his hardest for Argentina. If Argentina whens the world cup, it will be in spite of Messi running away from every tackle to save his legs and his contract. It pathectic and I haven´t met one Argentine who likes him.

There is no question that Messi and Argentina will be one of the favourites to win the world cup. But I wonder if Argentina have a strong enough midfield and the right strike partner for Messi. Keep in mind that whilst they have several world class strikers, can you really see Tevez and Messi winning a world cup together? I dont know.

It's MARADONA that's the problem NOT MESSI. Maradona is a cocky asshole who forced great players like Riquelme out of the squad. Overlooking defenders like Walter Samuel for argentina primera lifers like Schiavi will not lead to winning a world cup.
