Because he wanted regular first team football ahead of the world cup and Mancini couldn't garuantee him that. |

He was playing poorly and had lost a lot of confidence. He wanted regular playing time so he moved to Brazil. A lot of Brazilian players have returned to Brazil lately. He'll be back in Europe soon enough. He's scored 3 goals already for Santos |

Same reason shevchenko went back to ukraine. no top team in the english, spanish, or italian league would pay him to be a starter |

Same as answer 1 and also because he wasn't enjoying his football in England as much as he did in Spain and back home in Brazil. Also he didn't like Manchester very much, could be argued England wasn't the place for him to be. nevertheless, world class player with natural class and ability that you can't learn or work at on the training ground - wish the lad the best of success with his footballing career, and when hes on fire hes as good as messi, ronaldo, torres, kaka, ronaldinho, pato to watch. |

Robinho is a true and true Brazilian. He loves the media attention, the night life, the brazilian way of life. He loves the sun. He wasn't getting it in England. I don't believe he left for footballing reasons. Obviously, he made a haste decision to take up the Man City offer. He was hard done by Real Madrid who had offered him to Man United for C Ronaldo. He would not have left for Brazil if he was still a Madrid player. The only club he could have gone to now is Santos. The club and the fans love him dearly. He is most comfortable there. |

He left so that he could get regular 1st team football for a club ahead of the wc so he could be guaranteed a place in the Brazilian squad |

Great player in the wrong league. I see him finding his feet again in Brazil and then going back to Spain. Kind of like Adriano, he was terrible at Inter, goes back to Brazil and becomes amazing then all of a sudden other european clubs are after him again. Robinho is not a EPL player and I don't think he ever will be, Man City was a good experience for him but I don't think he will go back. |

Because his ego is bigger than his talent. Robinho wants to be the top dog at any club he plays for. There is no question about his ability, but his contribution and commitment is beyond poor. Robinho's departure was on the cards since before Mancini arrived. Hughes knew it, and when Mancini took over, he saw it in training too. Robinho was whinging about not making the world cup if he didn't play regularly so Mancini made the decision to send him to Santos on loan, so he hasn't 'left' City yet. Robinho is just not suited to English Football. |

Robinho left because he is to good to not make the starting 11 he also just could not fit in among the city players,he couldnt adapt to there style of football. He also in my opinion didint like roberto mancini any more than he liked mark hughes,so the other players were always favoured to him. |
