Question: Whats the best soccer formation?

I started a team of pure family members some good some not too good anyway weve played two games already and we always start winning the first half 1- 0 then second half they score 2 or 3.. i tell everyone to play defense and got an extra defender and it seems they have possesion the second half why?

The best formation used to be 4-4-2, but now 4-5-1 seems to be better as it allows space for genuine wingers and is also flexible in attack and defence. If you want to defend your lead then don't play an extra defender, instead use an extra midfielder and just try to keep posession of the ball.

Im assuming your playing with 11? if so, use a 4-4-2. put the ones with the most stamina at midfield this way they can track back on defense and move up when on the attack side. this is the formation that my team has always used and in my opinion the best.

Easy question... Fowards: 7, Middles: 2, Defense: 1, Goalie:1 thats how we always win in our league... sure they make some goals on us but we win them by like 15 goals... trust me
